Jindabyne Pharmacy was founded in 1990's by Rod Moore. Rod was at the forefront of the forward pharmacy concept. Marty Timmins joined Rod in the mid 90's to create a powerhouse of knowledge and advice that was accessible to both locals and visitors, seven days a week. In 2013, Philip Young purchased the Pharmacy from Marty and Rod, after a long career in Sydney as a Pharmacist owner/operator, also a passionate advocate of the 'Forward Pharmacy' design philosophy, having setup the very first Pharmacist Advice in Sydney's Artarmon. Philip has been a part time resident for four years, whilst his children finished their schooling in Sydney (now both Matriculated to Sydney University, studying Pharmacy and Nursing). Full time residency in Jindabyne, has allowed Philip to extend the trading hours even more, to now be the only 365 days a year Pharmacy open for 200km...including Christmas Day.

We are blessed with a dedicated professional team with Marty staying on as a hard working staff pharmacist, who has been the backbone of our 8AM till 8PM winter trading period. Hollie is our Retail Manager, who has been helping locals for over 11 years, with all their pharmacy needs. She has done ear-piercing for 100's of local girls and boys, plus reviewed over a 1000 First Aid kits of all our local and mountain Chalets and workplaces. If we don't have it on the shelf, she will find the product for you! Kathryn is our Pharmacist Manager, now about to do her third winter, ably assisted by her husband, Phillip, on the floor as our sports brace technician. Our team has now been expanded with the addition of Pam, a traveling Qld Pharmacist, with stints at Thredbo and Bemagui. Pam is now assisting Philip on the weekends, so we can now do long trading days in all school holidays, not just winter. The massive growth in visitor numbers over the last few summers, has enabled us to explore longer and longer hours with real viability. We have been assisted with both Medical Centres also extending their 'summer' hours, with a special mention to Dr Steve who has committed to every Sunday and Public Holiday of all School Holidays

In February 2018, our whole team spent a week in Sydney, with Medisca, becoming qualified in Compounding and specialised in Analgesic Compounding. Mitch, our 2018 Intern, has been running our lab (with a viewing window from the front car park) producing customised solutions for all our patients, including the four legged kind! Renata has been his deputy all year, enabling us to make enough of our famous Alpine Pain Gel to satisfy local demand, plus the visiting skiers, boarders and MTB enthusiasts and now our growing mail order list of arthritis sufferers Australia wide.

LEGO. Yes we stock LEGO! We have the biggest range of LEGO of any retail store in the southern hemisphere. This education toy has the ability to encourage kids and adults to drop their devices and engage in free thought and creativity. Very popular when the blizzards hit hard.

The team proudly supports many local community groups, including the Bush Pigs, Touch Footy team the Pharmy Army, Neighbourhood Centre and Jindabyne Trail Stewardship. It is this involvement that maintains our passion for the community and vice-versa!
